Scouting in the 1920's

Tim Witherspoon's grandfather was Bookham Train Stationmaster, please click the photo to look at the pictures of his father and uncle Scouting in the 1920's.

Greville Summer Camp 2011
Our summer camp this year was in an amazing location a mile from the coast in Dorset. When we arrived at the site we got into our patrols, Falcons, Panthers and Lions. We worked together in our patrols for our camp competition where we were awarded points based on inspections, behaviour, meals and various other things.

Greville Whitsun Camp 2011
On Friday evening the Patrol Leaders (PLs) and Assistant Patrol Leaders (APLs) were at the Secret Field, which is where Whitsun Camp takes place every year.

District Cub Scrapheap challenge
Over 50 cubs from across the District, working in teams, created 15 amazing models of robots-to-help-them-with-a- task at Bookham Scouts HQ in October. The cubs made their own designs from a huge heap of “scrap” such as cardboard boxes, pots, straws, foil, coloured paper, all held together with lots of tape and glue!

ShelterBox Scavenger Hunt 2011
On Saturday 16 July 2011, Jack Moth, Ross Barton, Callum Nicholls, George Maltby and Matthew Bird from of 1st Bookham Oak Cub Pack took part in the ShelterBox London Scavenger Hunt. They were team 'Bookhams Bravest'.
