Information About Joining Beavers - Waiting List Signup

Beaver Scouts are boys and girls aged 6 to 8yrs. There are two Beaver Colonies in 1st Bookham Scout Group - Heron Colony which meets on Tuesdays from 5.30 to 6.30 pm and Puffin Colony which meets on Fridays from 4.30pm to 5.30 pm.

Boys and girls can be put on the 1st Bookham Scout Group Register of Interest when a child becomes 5 years old. 1st Bookham Scout Group do not hold details of any children wishing to become Beavers before the child is 5 years old. Children who are already 6 years old are put on the Joining List to wait for a place to become available.

If your child is 5 years old or older please complete and submit the Register of Interest/ Joining List form. A preference for a place at one of our two Beaver colonies can be stated, but we cannot guarantee a place on a particular night/Colony. Boys and girls join Beavers at the start of each full school term; September, January and April, but sometimes there may be no places available due to the Colonies being full and children have to wait until there is a space.

We always try to offer a place at the preferred Colony/meeting night; however this is not always possible.

I am happy for my child to be offered a place on either the Tuesday or Friday Beaver Colony.
