We arrived Friday and put our bags in the centre of the tents – then we played ‘Kick the Bucket’ followed by “Spy Watch” which is a bit like “Sardines” – it involves hiding – I hid in a tree by the play area. It took ages for anyone to find me. We tidied everything away then we had a snack before going to bed. We chatted for ages and went to sleep about midnight.
Harry woke me up and then we woke up Cameron. Breakfast - bacon butties were nice. We had to do our teeth after that. In the morning we played “Man Hunt” we were hunting for the adults – we poked one adult with a stick who was hiding in a tree. We made sandwiches for lunch. After lunch we played “Hunt down”, something like that, I can’t remember the name.
Then we went to High Ashurst to do an obstacle course and made fires. We walked back and had quiet time to recover – then we went to Manly building to crack codes, the game was fun but I dodged the snake and got to the last three. Then I was told we could not dodge again and I was next out. We went back to our tents then had tea. Cheesy pasts or chilli pasta or chicken and bacon, it was all yum. Pudding was big smartie buscuits.
Then we had a camp fire and sang songs – we made up our own rap. It was really fun and we went to sleep quickly tonight.
Hot dogs for breakfast, fab!
"I had a super-fun weekend" said Alex "and don’t forget the hot toasties dripping with cheese and marshmallows".
An extract from an interview with Alex, thank you Alex!
